Opera, electronic music and modern dance meet in a pagan ritual on stage. A ritual from which the old corpse of Tollundmanden, a dead man found in the moor, is brought to life. He then experiences our pulsating present and meets the goddess for whom he was sacrificed. The performance’s Irish text is by the Nobel- prize winning poet Seamus Heaney, and the music composed by Jakob Bahr and DJ Louis Lennert. Performing on stage, are soprano Stine Elbæk Rysgaard and dancer/ director Bernardo Coloma.
It’s a performance about our relationship to nature. About the man in the moss, who became friends with an Irish poet thousands of years after his death. About dancing songs, singing dances and choreographed ensemble. The scenography consists of still- projections.
